The Only Album That Brings A Hard *** To Tears - This guy is a true artist and genius with words. His simplicity and story telling abilities are amazing. You re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover were my story while trying to recover from major spinal surgery. Both were the extremes of my feelings...so I listened to these ALOT! ,-) All of his songs simply bind themselves together into a ballad. It feels like he s telling someone s life story. The only artist I would put in his league would be Mark Schultz who is another lyrically genius that can touch someone s soul. Just sit back and listen to this album, close your eyes, and reflect. Fantastic album and one of my favorite artists. Can t wait for his next album! 5 STARS *****

A Major Talent! - This CD blew me away. Most of today s new music leaves me cold, I grew up with 50 s Rock n Roll and pop music has changed a bit since then. I heard Goodbye My Lover on the radio and it stopped me in my tracks -- a good trick since I was on the freeway at the time! James Blunt is a MAJOR talent. Great songs, incredible lyrics. His songs and voice are full of passion, sorrow, and honesty -- a combination I find irresistable. James Blunt obviously has a lot to say!You re Beautiful is another winner, a rueful tribute to a love that never was... but might have been. The CD ends with No Bravery, written by Blunt while serving with the British Army in Kosovo. It has a tragic beauty that brings tears to my eyes. I love every song on this CD, the three I ve mentioned are simply my favorites.If you ve never heard of James Blunt (I hadn t!), give Back to Bedlam a listen. You ll be very glad you did.
